Procne & Philomela
|
An experimental performance duo Maria Dolores and Anna Apostolelli that combines electronics/noise, obsessive repetitive spoken word and kitchen-sink greek drama. Their name derives from the tragic and morally-complex mythological story of the sisters Procne and Philomela. Their released one record under the Fytini label. In Sound Acts they presented a mixture of sound and performance on the mythological story itself, a contemporary passive-aggressive drama, drenched in queer aesthetics. |
