Eve Libertine & Charles Webber
|
Eve Libertine is an experimental vocalist and former member of the seminal anarchofeminist punk band CRASS. Her works with the band include the controversial single "Reality Asylum", as well as performing most of the vocals on the group's third album, "Penis Envy" (1981). She is a classically trained singer and a fine artist, holding her first exhibition of artworks, entitled "Head On", in London in September 2005. Charles Webber is an electronic artist who has worked in experimental performance for the past 25 years across the disciplines of electro-acoustic music, moving image and lighting design. Together they gave the Sound Acts audience a one-off mesmerising experience: the world premiere of a collection of spoken word, operatic vocalisms and electronic pieces, based on highly personal texts by Eve Libertine; explorations into the individual politics of gender, identity and love. |
