Kassiani Kappelos
|
Kassiani Kappelos is a sound artist based in London. Her work features visual art fragments, performative elements and electronic soundscapes. In Sound Acts she presented an installation and talk that explored the possibilities of a kinetic conversation between a male and a female. A table with objects found in the bedroom of an ordinary person, like a hairbrush, a table lamp, a pillow and a blanket, a vibrator and an alarm clock, which visitors may interact with. There are statements spoken out in greek slang like “Είμαι αδελφή” which translates to english as “I am a poof”; an attempt to battle with the negative associations that come with words of the greek language. |
